The relentless march of modern data centers across the American landscape represents an unprecedented industrial assault on our collective survival, stripping the nation of its vital water tables, grid energy, and the democratic rights of communities to decide how their own resources are utilized. In their insatiable hunger for power and computational dominance, the United States government and corporate entities are repeating the exact same extractive playbook against the Indigenous Peoples of the United States that was historically deployed to devastate northern Mexico. I have spent my adult life checking boxes that never fit who I am. There is only one box any citizen of this nation should have to check. American Citizen. The rest is used as a tool to divide.

My European Ancestry Intertwined with the Indigenous Peoples of North Carolina
My 5th great-grandfather, William Franklin Lewis III, was born in Ulster, Donegal, Ulster, Ireland in 1730. His son, John Cornelius Lewis Sr;, the first in this line to be born on the North American Continent. was born in 1750 in New Hanover Colony, North Carolina, He married Nancy Orr, born in 1757 at the New Hanover Colony and likely of Nansemond ancestry. Nancy Orr was my direct ancestor. John Cornelius Lewis Sr. remarried after the passing of my 5th great-grandmother. His second wife was Zilphia Powell. They had several children together. One of these children was Leticia Lewis, born August 13, 1826 in what is now Robeson County, North Carolina, United States of America.

Leticia Lewis married Enoch John Bass in Robeson, North Carolina, before 1849 when she was 22 or 23 years old. The Bass family and the marital connections to the Williams family stretch back to a time before records in this nation. These are the people of the Lumbee Nation.

My paternal 5th great-grandfather, Joseph Rutherford Walker Sr., enlisted as a soldier in the Revolutionary War on February 2, 1776. His great-granddaughter, Allie Dean Walker (Lewis) is my paternal great-grandmother. She was also the granddaughter of John Bizzel Woodcock, born May 17, 1806 in Browns Marsh, Bladen, North Carolina, USA, the heart of “Lumbee Territory”.

My paternal 4th great-grandfather was William Hamilton Moore of Moore’s Creek in New Hanover, North Carolina.Moores Creek National Battlefield commemorates the 1776 battle that took place on land originally associated with the prominent Moore family of the Cape Fear region. He was also Lumbee.

The Lumbee People were finally granted Federal Recognition on December 18, 2025. They were always here. They have always been here. They helped to build this nation in spite of all the years that their status was ignored, disputed, or ridiculed. Without the Lumbee people, this United States Of America would likely not exist.

Tribal recognition has been LONG overdue. I am proud of my relatives who have struggled so long and hard to finally be recognized as the amazing resilient and resourceful people they have always been. They are indigenous. They are the Peoples of the Dark Water. They are the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina.

My European ancestors are part of this tapestry. They were and are family. They helped to build the Lumbee Tribe to what it is today a very long time ago. I am proud of all of my ancestors.

My mother’s side of the family tree adds another twist that is a part of who I am. Through her, my lineage directly connects to all of the Royal Houses of Europe.

Through my father’s European ancestry, I am descended from the same Royal Houses through my Lewis lineage as a descendant of King David I of Scotland. This lineage flows directly through the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina.

At the end of the day, I have always been Lumbee. I was raised knowing this to be the case. I was also raised to pledge allegiance to the flag and to support the US Constitution. I still do.

I also ask that the US Supreme Court uphold the treaties they have made with Indigenous Peoples of this United States. My ancestors fought for this nation. MANY of them were the Lumbee Tribe it has taken 250 years to recognize. The time for change is at hand. The experiment cannot complete the goal without upholding treaties and promises made to the peoples who were stewards of this land before my first European ancestors ever set foot here.

This is not an opinion. This is historical fact. The Landback movement is a peaceful way to return the stewardship of this nation to those who have proven to have done a better job. Their form of democracy was a true one. They should be fully restored to the status promised so long ago. This must happen in order to heal our nation. There is no alternative.

In the last while, I have done a lot of research in the effort to find my ancestral lineage. This was a promise made to my parents. While the result is obviously knowing where you come from and the components that make up your DNA, it also gave me a profound lens through which to view the present. When you trace 1,000 years of lineage, you aren’t just looking at names on a tree; you are observing the persistence of “power-hoarding” structures that have evolved from land-based feudalism into the modern global oligarchy.

I say this as a descendant of the royal houses of Europe AND indigenous peoples of the North American continent. These were things my parents had mentioned over a lifetime but the process of discovery was an eye-opener for me in many many ways.

I come from colonizers. I come from royal monarchies. I come from indigenous peoples of Turtle Island. I am one human being. I am not responsible for every action of every ancestor who came before…but I am expected to do better with what I have been given.

Your skin tone is not what makes a colonizer. Your religion is not what makes a colonizer. Your MINDSET is!

The “colonizer class” hasn’t disappeared; it has simply updated its operational software. What was once the metropole—the distant center of empire—is now the corporate boardroom, the WEF/Davos circuit, and the private data-center complex.

The Evolution of the “Colonizer”

• Historical Continuity: Colonialism was never just about geography; it was about the right to extract. Whether it was spices, gold, or labor, the “colonizer” identified a resource, claimed sovereignty over it, and dehumanized the inhabitants to justify the extraction.

Why My Opinion Matters

The same power-seeking behaviors that governed the world a millennium ago are still in control today.

The “rot at the root” is the belief that they are somehow separate from the consequences of their extraction. They take no responsibility for the harm that their actions cause both human beings and the environment we intend to leave to our children and great-grandchildren. The next seven generations AT LEAST.

We need to understand clearly that although there were horrible things done to many peoples all over the world in the past, that mindset and the oppressive way the “power elites” treat human beings IS STILL HAPPENING.

This impacts ALL peoples but in particular, the marginalized tend to be the indigenous peoples of the world.

Not all colonizers have a certain skin tone but they all have one thing in common. Political and military or legal power framework supporting them.

We need new ideas, not just for protest, but for resolution. When those in power treat human beings as commodities and the planet as a strip-mine, they demonstrate that they have abdicated their role as stewards.

If they are incapable of stewarding the life they touch, they have no business holding the reins of a global society. Whether through political exile or the total dismantling of their extractive frameworks, we must remove them from the levers of power. The goal isn’t just to punish—it is to reclaim the responsibility they have spent centuries trying to escape.

This is the heart of #LANDBACK. It is not about turning back the clock; it is about restoring the fundamental principle of stewardship. It is the acknowledgement that we are not separate from the consequences of our actions.

America turns 250 years old this year. The world is watching. We have ignored ratified treaties and moral obligations for over a century, but time is up. Change is not coming; it is here. The first step is a shift in mindset: recognizing that the neighbor we are told to fear is, like us, a victim of this same colonial software. Do not comply with the division. Do not perpetuate the cycle. Hold the architects of extraction accountable, and in their place, build a future rooted in responsibility, not exploitation.

For someone already managing health challenges, this is an intentional barrier designed to fatigue you into giving up on the process. I just had my second knee replacement last summer. I’m also indigenous. I have another name. My father named me Starlight Harmony on the night of my birth. I am not the only person who has a “government” name and a REAL name in world cultures.

The act makes voter rights effectively “obsolete,” This is a shift from a right—which is inherent—to a privilege—which must be proven to and approved by the state. My opinion? These are the names of people who swore an oath to uphold the US Constitution from all against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Beyond the ongoing conflict with Palestine and its direct involvement with its immediate neighbors, Israel is intertwined in several other global and regional disputes.

1. Iran and Its Proxies The most significant and far-reaching dispute Israel is involved in is its long-standing proxy conflict with Iran. This rivalry is not a conventional war but a series of military, political, and covert actions across the Middle East. Hezbollah in Lebanon: Iran is the primary backer of Hezbollah, a powerful political party and militant group in Lebanon that is considered a major security threat by Israel. However, a deeper look into the history of the world reveals that this endless cycle of conflict is not merely a product of racial animosity, but a sophisticated manipulation orchestrated by forces operating from the shadows. The players on the battlefield, the soldiers of Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, and NATO and allies, are little more than pawns in a grand game of geopolitical chess played by the true powers of our world: the bankers and warmongers. From the very beginning, the seeds of conflict have been sown by those who profit from division. NATO and allies, for all talk of justice and righteousness, is heavily influenced by the Powerful Elite, Bankers, & Corporations.
This is a classic example of how economic greed and political maneuvering can create a perpetual state of low-level conflict that benefits the powerful. These larger-than-life villains are the ultimate warmongers, using the factions as their puppets to achieve their own agendas, all while the people of all sides believe they are fighting for their own cause. The Bankers & Corporations, are driven by profit, and they have no qualms about providing military technology and resources to both sides of the conflict. Their entire existence is built on the premise that war is a lucrative business, and they actively fan the flames of conflict to ensure a constant demand for their services. This mirrors the real-world concept of a military-industrial complex that profits from prolonged warfare.

The endless cycle of war on Planet Earth is not a testament to the innate evil of one faction over the other. It is, instead, a grim reflection of a world where the masses are manipulated by the few.
